Winter paintings
Winter scenes have always been a favorite of mine. I guess because I grew up in the rocky mountain state and love the mountains. There is no time they are ever prettier then when the mountain and trees are loaded down with a fresh snow. I love the different colors that come alive with the sunsets and sunrises on the crystal white snow. It is so wonderful how you can see the same places at different times during the day and night and the color is always changing do to the sun, and shadows even in the moon light the colors change as the rays bounce this way and that. I love the frozen water and waterfalls as the icy chunks break freeze to plummet to the river far below.
Bliss was one of my first paintings, I entered in our local fair in the beginners and won First Place I was so thrilled, I still have it today for it was my first that showed me I wasn’t just wasting my time other people actually like my paintings.
The Lone Mountain was just the start of my painting, but the longer I looked at it the more I liked just one lone mountain in all that white and I couldn’t bare to add anything to it.
Snake River was sold awhile back but I still have pictures of most of my paintings. It is another earlier painting and I never got to enter it in a fair but I liked how the mountains turned out.

More winter scenes
Wintertime is a magical place for nature as well as for man. It is a time for sleep and rest when the forest and mountains are covered in a blanket of snow. All the scenery looks brand new not a speck of brown lies on the ground.
Cabin by the stream was my first attempt to actually make a building in one of my paintings. It turned out great but my stream is kind of leans, but hey that is what makes it a masterpiece and one of a kind.
Mountain Fall my favorite part of this painting is the fall and the water really looks like there is a shine coming off the ice that is floating on top of the water.
Cotton Candy is one of my favorites, my daughter saw it and the first thing she said was it looks like cotton candy with the bright blues, pinks, and purples. She now owns that painting and it hangs in her kitchen, where else would you put cotton candy at?
Thanks Janeal
I hope you have enjoyed the pictures of some of my paintings. I know I have enjoyed painting all of them, while some of them are still for sale. Others have been sold or given to family members. To me they all have beauty and they all have mistakes, but sometimes the mistakes have brought out the beauty.

I love winter, but capturing the beauty of winter rather than the dreariness, now that takes talent and eye...which, My Dear, you've got! Bliss is my personal favorite!
