Children's furniture, but how do I make the right choice for my child? This is a question most parents ask themselves when the time to buy is at hand. There are so many styles to choose from: toddler beds, theme bed sets, loft systems, and bunk beds with desks or chest of drawers or both. Maybe a playhouse loft system would be even better, but what about a kids' day bed, which one would fit my child’s needs more.
Toddler beds are a good transitional bed into a regular sized bed. Although toddler beds will only be with you toddler for a year or two it should also have good support for your child. This is one area, in which many parents and companies fail to consider a child. Back problems can and will start early in your life with out enough support the bed you choose can help to start some of these problems. So please remember to consider the support for your child when choosing a bed.
· A toddler bed is a kid's bed that sets lower to the floor, so your young child will have an easier time climbing in and out with this in mind there is not as long of a drop if he/she still has a tendency to fall out of bed at night. Most toddler beds also have partial bed rails built half way down the sides your toddler’s bed, which adds more security for your child.
· In many ways this furniture will add the safety, which you and your toddler will crave to give you both a peaceful night’s sleep. It will free up the nursery for your next child or to make into a small den for your spouse.
· Loft systems also come in many different themes; one of these themes is a tent, which would be great for children who grow up in cities. Most kids who live in cities are not safe to sleep outside, so you can bring the camping inside your kids' bedroom without the worry. The curtains around the bed frame would also make a great place to put a toy box, and the riding toys that always manage to damage your big toe, when kissing your child goodnight.
Bunk beds are also wonderful for sleepovers, or if your kids' share a bedroom. There are bunk beds, which you can separate later on, or the head of the bed fits under the upper bed. There are also theme bunk beds for boys and girls.
· Once again bunk beds save you space in your kids' bedroom and leave more room for your kids' furniture such as a desk, chest of drawers, toy box, extra.
· If your children don't like sleeping right under each other you may find the separated beds better, this will still leave half of your floor space free for a desk or chest of drawers to fit under the other half of the upper bed frame.
· Another space saver idea, which comes to mind, is a stuff animal holder, which will fit perfectly behind the desk or drawers. All you need are three hooks to screw into the inside of the bed frame and the mash hammock to put the animals in. You can buy a stuffed animal hammock in any toy store.

This brings us to our day beds, which are also great for young teens that are interested in entertaining friends after school. For the younger child who is between toys and purity a day bed does not have to set against a wall. Behind the day bed is a good place to put the toys or stuffed animal you child is not quite ready to give up, also their favorite stuffed animals can be put across the back for a nice homey decoration.
· Daybeds are a great asset to a older teen's bedroom, during the day while friends are over they have a place to set and watch television or play video games. Extra seating is often a plus. Behind the daybed would be a great place to put their desk with a filing cabinet for schoolwork and their computer or laptop.
· Along with a higher evaluation from the floor to the bottom of the bed there are a couple of choices you can do with the extra space, whichever works best for your child's needs. You could put in a trundle bed for sleepovers, or you could put a shelf of books or CDs keeping their desk clear on top for schoolwork. There are also daybeds which have their own chest of drawers under the daybed.
For You child who is in high school and getting ready to go his/her own way, you may be looking for a bed that they can take with them to college but the bed they have right now would not fit in a dorm room or their small apartment. As a parent you may want their bed left at home so when they come home on break or during holidays they still have their own bed. So you might want to find a bed that can be used as a bed at night but a couch during the day. Here are a couple of ideas, you might want to think about a futon or a Murphy Bed both would be practical in this situation.
Your child's furniture is an asset just like any other furniture you purchase; first you should take the time to shop around. The furniture you buy for your child should not just be cute, but also dependable and durable for your child, as well as having good support for their back. The bed needs to be well built with a good mattress. Back problems can and do start at an early age, so take time to make sure a well made mattress can not only fit on your child's bed, but the bed will stand up to the weight of the mattress and your child. All the bedroom furniture you buy should be able to hold up to the normal treatment of your child. This knowledge may help lead you to the right furniture for your child.
The next question is a must if you have more then one child, depending on the ages and sex of each of your children, you may want to buy neutral kids furniture for your child's bedroom. Pay close attention to the cost of the child's furniture, and how long your child will have it. Cheap furniture may not be worth the small price, like wise you do not want to spend a fortune on a toddle bed but it should be well build all the same. You need to make sure of the quality as well as the price is efficient for your children’s furniture.
You need to know your child's furniture is an attribute, like any other furniture you buy; you are investing in your child's health, memories, and needs, so make your choice wisely and remember child's furniture that is well built may be the best buy in the long run.
