From Painting to Artist

You’ve heard it all before anyone can paint. Not everyone can be an artist. Yet have you ever walked through an art museum and gazed upon the greats. Some paintings you see, with in moments why they are hanging on the walls, while others even after you leave the museum, you wonder how and why they ever decided that painting was worthy of hanging on a museum wall. You may think that the painter who painted your house could have done a picture.

We have all been there, and looked to see what was so special about a particular painting, we may never know. Some of us will never see the beauty in a painting that others have decided is a masterpiece. Yet it has survived the ages, and been given its do right along with others that have done the same.

So what makes a painter an artist? I believe that it is not the opinions of others; it is the painter that paints from his/her heart. They did not start the painting out to try to appeal to every person, but just wanted to see what they could do. They had something to say and decided to say it through a painting.

Their heart spoke and their mind sent the message on to the hands so they could show the message to the rest of the world. No not everyone understands the message of an artist, but than how many of us understand every book, or poem we have ever read, or some of the music that others listen to. Nor do we understand every word that we hear from a loved one mouth. Communication has always been a problem since time began. As a society we often misunderstand each other whether it is do to accents, different languages, or simply because we have come to block some people out of our minds. We do not hear, or understands their needs and wants, let alone their feelings on many matters of the heart.

So in my opinion every person that paints from their heart is a artist, you may not understand the message, or what the person’s meaning is behind the paint on the canvas but as long as it has been spoken from their heart. The painting makes them an artist.
